"The Giant Awakes"
Longs Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park
I shot this image of Longs Peak at sunrise on a cold October morning. The night which was just breaking started with a hard rain which turned to snow coating everything with ice and snow. As this storm broke, the sun lit the departing clouds. Below can be seen Mills Lake beginning to take on its own coat of ice.
