"Lost Meadow"
Lost Lake Area, Rocky Mountain National Park
Not many people hike the 10 miles needed to get to Lost Lake on the north end of Rocky Mountain National Park. Of those who do make the journey, only a few of them continue on to the beautiful meadow and lakes on the shelf above Lost. This is one of my favorite areas. On this trip the alpine sunflowers were just finishing while the other wildflowers were having their last celebration of the year on this beautiful august morning. This is one of those places I could be happy just to sit and enjoy for a very long time.
