July with Julian
Forest Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park
There is something about these vast tundra views that fills me with excitement and takes my breath away. As a child I used to draw pictures with blue skies, snow covered peaks, green fields and alpine lakes with a stream leading to the mountain. Perhaps these scenes remind me of my childhood view of the mountains or maybe these views speak to me on an even deeper level, causing me to feel very alive and in awe of this wonderful world in which we live.
The mountain in the distance is Mount Julian which stands above the Gorge Lakes area, between me and the peak is the area known as Forest Canyon.

The print only option is the most affordable route to go. It is just what it sounds like: prints on high quality archival photographic paper without any mounting or framing. One of the benefits of going this route is that you can bring them to your local frame shop to have the matted and framed exactly as you like. Prints are also great if you are in a hurry as they usually arrive in 5-7 days from the time of order.
This mounting option is by far our most popular format. It is both durable and beautiful. It allows the images to reveal an almost three dimensional quality creating the impression of actually being there. This is because there is almost no glare or reflection such as you find with even the most expensive types of glass. An additional benefit is that the artwork is very durable and can even be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. The artwork also resists fading because it has UV protection. When you order a plaque from us, they arrive ready to hang.
Plaque on Plaque
This is my favorite style for displaying a plaque mounted print and is a great way to make your plaque stand out, particularly if you have a wall color that is similar to the image. What we do is create another plaque, completely black, which is larger than the picture plaque. This large back plaque floats off your wall using a French Cleat. Then, the picture plaque is attached to the back plaque with another French Cleat. The result is a very three-dimensional feel as the photo seems to float off the of back plaque which itself is floating off of the wall. This is a great way to create a centerpiece image as it always attracts a lot of attention. I generally have one of these right as you come into the door in my gallery.
Plaque with Frame
We now also offer a unique framing system for our plaque mounted images. This option is perfect if you are wanting a more traditional frame but want to benefit from the great features offered by plaque mounting. The frames we are using are about 2" thick and create the impression that the plaque is floating within the frame by use of a gap between the inside edge of the frame and the plaque. These frames come in both walnut and black and are an affordable way to take the photo to the next level.
After years of not offering canvas, we have finally found a canvas product that meets our quality standards. Not only is the printing of extremely high quality but these canvas prints are coated with the same UV protective laminate as our plaques, protecting them and allowing you to wash them with a damp cloth. These prints are wrapped around a solid box, rather than a stretcher frame, resulting in a product which will not sag in the middle or be easily damaged in transit. The edges are 1 1/2" thick with the image mirrored on the edges. It is a beautiful product which you are sure to enjoy. Expect 3 weeks to receive our order.
You can order prints in various formats such as print only, plaque, framed plaque, acrylic or matted. Upon special request, we also offer our prints in canvas.
For more information about the display options, please see the prints page.
I am confident that you will be pleased with the quality of these prints, so I offer a full refund (not including postage) for any product returned in new condition within 10 days of receipt.
