I have never seen Ouzel Falls so powerful. Its roar was intense as the water rushed down Ouzel Creek as part of the spring runoff. Photo © copyright by Erik Stensland.
Following a winter of heavy snowfall, Ouzel Creek was flowing as strongly as I had ever seen it causing Ouzel Falls to loudly roar and throw a blanket of thick mist up into the air around its base. This beautiful waterfall is located in the Wild Basin section of Rocky Mountain National Park and is one of the prime destinations for hikers to the area. The trail to the falls leads through deep forest and alongside mountain streams providing a beautiful and enjoyable experience of this amazing national park. Photo © copyright by Erik Stensland.
